What is NOISE? - The National
Organization to Insure a Sound Controlled Environment, an affiliate
of the National League of Cities, has a 38-year history of serving as America’s
only nation-wide, community-based association committed to reducing the impact
of aviation noise on local communities. NOISE allows communities to join
together and, with a single voice, inject the concerns of their constituents
into the national debate on airport expansion and other issues relating to the effects of aviation noise.
Who is NOISE? - NOISE members include cities and
counties from across the country as well as citizen aviation-noise
organizations, industry-leading aviation consultants, and individuals
concerned about the effects of airport noise.
Why join NOISE? - NOISE brings locally elected officials
together with leading researchers, policy-makers, and industry
stakeholders to pursue common-sense solutions for communities
experiencing the critical issue of excessive aviation related noise.
How do I join NOISE? - To truly experience all that
NOISE has to offer, we encourage you to attend our next Annual
Conference and Aviation Noise Symposium. To join NOISE,
visit our Membership Information page or or feel free to
attend one of our meetings during the National League of Cities (NLC)
Congressional City Conference each spring in Washington, DC or the annual
NLC
Congress of Cities in the winter.
